Baby Steps...

Lately I've been reading "The Shack" and really have started to see things in a way I haven't seen them before. I know the writer isn't God himself, but I've still learned a lot more about my Creator and my relationship with Him. Because of this book I'm going to dig deeper into God, rely on Him for everything, kill my independent spirit and replace with one living on relationships- especially with my Savior. Making progress isn't always a forward motion, sometimes you have to turn back to get results. I know I can't do any of this alone so I'll need to first work on embracing the TEAM effort and focus on living life wit the knowledge that I'm an insanely loved child of God.

I accidentally just flicked/flipped off one of my best friends. I've let society work it's evils on me. Fail.

This week I'm really trying to apply Matthew 6:33 in my life. God calls us to seek first the kingdom of heaven. He doesn't say second, third, when you have time, or later in life. He specificall says seek, in the present tense so that we can know that God and His kingdom should continually come first in our lives. This verse really hits home because I often find myself putting other things before the Most High Creator and by doing this I spend more time with the products of the Creator rather than the Creates Himself. This week and for the rest of my life i pray that God will give me the strength and longing to "walk out" Matthew 6:33.

Psalm 91-
put all your faith and trust in God and take Him up on His word that promises that He- the Creator and Ruler of EVERYTHING will be with you WHENEVER you face danger.

Matthew 6:14
God specifically states that it's wrong to hold a grudge. We must forgive our wrong doers not only because God forgives us but to receive His graceous forgiveness in the first place.

My support group makes all the difference in my spiritual life. Thank you my beautiful sisters for everything you do for me.

Matthew 22:37 read it as a literal task. It made my mind realize what i must first and foremost do in my life.
